READ THE PARSON TALE ON PAGES 156 AND 157 AND ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

  12. EXAMINE LINES 517 TO 521.  WHAT IS THE NARRATOR SAYING ABOUT THE PARSON’S “DUTIES,” “SHEEP ENCUMBERED IN THE MIRE,” “GOING TO LONDON” AND GETTING”ENROLLED?
  13. EXAMINE LINES 522 AND 523.  WHAT IS THE NARRATOR SAYING HERE ABOUT THE PARSON?
  14. “…HE WAS A SHEPHERD AND NO MERCENARY…” SUGGESTS WHAT?
  15. EXAMINE LINES 525 AND 528.  WHAT TYPE OF MAN DOES THE NARRATOR SAY THAT THIS PARSON IS?

  17. EXAMINE LINES 531 TO 534.  IS THE INTER[RETATION HERE IS THAT THE PARSON LEADS BY EXAMPLE AND IS COMPASSIONATE RATHER THAN HOLDS HATRED FOR SINNERS?  BUT WHEN SOMEONE STUBBORNLY INSISTS AND PRESISTS ON DOING WRONG OF HIGH OR LOW RANK HOW DOES THE PARSON DEALS WITH THEM?
